An 8-week singing workshop from an animist's perspective, featuring all-new chants written especially for this series!
Hey there singers! Do you believe songs can weave spells? Do you yearn to feel your magic come alive through singing? Do you want to re-enchant the world with song?
If these concepts excite you, I invite you to join me for 8 weeks of Enchantment, where I'll guide you in strengthening your voice and your ear as we sing eight chants, written in three-part harmony and glimmering with magic. Each week, we'll focus on a specific technique for helping you build strength, control, ease, and confidence, and put each lesson into practice via its corresponding chant. Each chant will have an accompanying magical practice, to facilitate experiential understanding of the vibration of song as a current that can shift patterns of perception, making way for lasting change.
Each chant will highlight the workings of the natural world, that we might bring ourselves into resonance with these forces through our voices. Key to an animistic worldview is remembering that we are not separate from nature, but deeply intertwined. Singing these forces to life within us deepens this knowing and feels wonderfull!

MORE CONFIDENCE IN YOUR SINGING VOICE
You'll learn real-world techniques used by professional singers to master vocal control and freedom of expression.
IMPROVEMENT IN YOUR ABILITY TO HARMONISE
Each chant has three harmony parts that you will learn, with an explanation of why the harmony works. Learning harmony is great ear training too!
CULTIVATE A SPIRITUAL PRACTICE ROOTED IN SONG
Each chant will have an accompanying magical practice; a meditation or point of contemplation that deepens our experience of the chant.
SCIENCE AND MAGIC!
You'll learn the science of singing as well as the magic of singing; the mechanics of how your voice works, and how to pitch your voice just right to enchant your listeners.

IS THIS CLASS FOR YOU?
- This class is for anyone at any singing level. Even the pros need to practice and return to basic disciplines from time to time. Singing is a muscle memory, and therefore we must do it often.
- This class is for anyone who loves to sing or would like to try.
- This class is for anyone who finds inspiration in a magical worldview.
- This class is NOT for folks who don't resonate with a magical/animistic worldview. If you think this stuff is too woo and you just want the hard science, or you want vocal training without meditations attached, you probably won't enjoy this.
- This class is NOT for science deniers. We are Team Magic AND Science 'round these parts. We do not believe magic trumps science, we believe it enhances science.
- This class is NOT for mean people. I only work with communities that want to lift one another up. Singing can be very vulnerable, and the only way to grow is to practice from wherever we're at. We are here to support one another in doing that.
